The article analyzes the lexica! and technical meanings of the concept of khabar al-wahid, its theoretical foundations in usul al-fiqh, and the scope of its application as a legal proof within the Hanafi school. The views of Abu Hanifa, al-Dabusi, al-Pazdawi, al-Sarakhsi, Abd al-Aziz al-Bukhari, and other Hanafi Jurists are examined through a comparative methodological approach. Furthermore, the study systematically discusses scholarly disagreements concerning the evidentiary authority of khabar al-wahid in matters of worship, transactions, and criminal punishments. The findings of the research contribute to a clearer understanding of the criteria for the probative value of solitary reports within Islamic legal methodology.
