INTERPRETATION OF THE TERM “JIHAD” IN ISLAMIC SOURCES

Annotatsiya

The article examines the current state ofde-radicalization efforts in the Republic of Uzbekistan,as well as initiatives undertaken at both national and international levels to support and strengthen peace and tolerance. Particular attention is paid to scientific and educational approaches aimed at supporting this process. In addition, the concept of “jihad”, which is often interpreted in connection with radicalism despite its intrinsic association with authentic Islamic teachings, is analytically discussed in light of the views of Muslim scholars and primary sacred sources.
