This article examines information found in classical biographical and historical sources about Hanafi jurists who memorized al-Hidaya, one of the most authoritative works of Hanafi jurisprudence authored by Burhan al-Dln al-Marghlnam. Based on tabaqat literature, the study identifies scholars who memorized the text, taught it from memory, or dictated it in teaching sessions, and analyzes their scholarly activities within the framework of medieval Islamic educational traditions. The research highlights the central role of al-Hidaya in Hanafi legal education and demonstrates the scholarly significance of memorization practices in the transmission of Islamic legal knowledge.
