Agricultural insurance has emerged as a critical tool for risk management, especially in developing countries, where agricultural sectors are highly vulnerable to natural disasters and unpredictable climate changes. Climate change has exacerbated the frequency and intensity of extreme weather events, such as droughts, floods, and storms, which pose significant threats to the livelihoods of farmers. As these risks grow, the necessity of agricultural insurance becomes increasingly evident, providing farmers with financial protection and stability in the face of these challenges. This paper explores the role of agricultural insurance in building resilience to climate change, its current implementation in developing nations, and the potential for adaptation strategies to improve food security and economic stability. The findings suggest that, while agricultural insurance is essential, its success depends on effective policy frameworks, affordable premium rates, and the integration of climate-adaptive technologies to ensure long-term sustainability.
