This paper is devoted to the study of the impact of Islamic financial instruments on the development of green economy. The main objective of the study is to analyze the opportunities and potential of Islamic financial mechanisms for financing environmentally sustainable projects and initiatives. The paper examines the principles of Islamic finance, its relevance to sustainable development goals and its impact on supporting green projects. The study was conducted using a mixed methodology including both qualitative and quantitative methods. The analysis included - literature review and analysis of regulations and reports of international organizations on the topic of Islamic finance and green economy, comparative analysis of cases of successful application of Islamic financial instruments in green projects and statistical analysis of data on investments in green projects financed by Islamic financial institutions. The results of the study show that Islamic financial instruments have significant potential to support the green economy. It was found that instruments such as sukuk, mudaraba and murabaha are actively used to finance renewable energy, energy conservation and sustainable agriculture projects. The study also revealed that Islamic financial institutions are willing to invest in long-term green projects that promote sustainable development. The results of the study can be used by governmental and non-governmental organizations, regulators, Islamic financial institutions, and green project developers to develop financing and investment attraction strategies. In addition, the results can be useful to academic institutions for further research on the integration of Islamic finance and sustainable development.
