In this article, although there are a number of researches conducted in the field of terminology and terminology in linguistics, the definition of the term, especially the historical roots, formation, cultural-historical development and stages of development of the terminology, the concept of the term and its related problems, the role of this field in linguistics are analyzed. Also, the development of the field of terminology today, the research of the linguistic aspects of terms and terminology that form the lexical layer of linguistics, such as the development of new words, the imposition of new meanings on words, the formation of a word combination into a semantic whole, as well as the acquisition and creation of words from other languages done In addition, the theoretical views of some scientists on this topic are shown.
