As a result of selection work on transferring the gene of resistance to powdery mildew to local varieties of melon, the variety “Xushta’m” was created. The melon variety “Xushta’m” the vegetation period is 82 days. The fruit is elongatedoval, the background is dark green, without a pattern, covered with a solid net, the average weight is 1,9 kg. The pulp of the fruit is red, crispy, the content of soluble dry substances is 14%. The total yield is 22,8 t / ha. Resistance to powdery mildew is 100%, 1.0% is affected by fusarium necrosis and 2.7% by fusarium wilt.
