In this article, the author reveals the methodological aspects of the study of the factor of social mobility. It is known that the high level of socio-economic inequality in the world is becoming one of the main features of modern society. Social and status stratification is increasing, affecting the main interests of individuals and entire groups. As a result of changes in social processes, social structures have been formed: the process of property development; distribution of materials, management relations, changes in production; the standard of living and its quality by category of the population. It can be seen from the above that, firstly, this leads to the formation of intra-structural flaws between social strata, and secondly, creates obstacles in the implementation of social mobility for individuals and entire groups.
