Annotatsiya

Extensive and active natural plague foci with a total area of 19,1 million hectares (42% of the total territory of the country) are located on the territory of the Republic of Uzbekistan. In the conditions of continuous settlements of the great gerbil, occupying arrays of tens of millions of hectares, the extermination of animals on an area of 100-150 thousand. ga even during periods of naturally low abundance of the species does not give an epizootological effect. The choice of rodenticide as an active substance remains a serious problem in the planning and implementation of measures to control rodents in plague foci. Many years of experience in the fight against rodents in plague foci on the territory of the Russian Federation, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan indicates that there is currently no alternative to using zinc phosphide as a rodenticide for emergency deratization measures.
