Annotatsiya

The article studies the semantic peculiarities of lexeme “hand” in English, their roles in the speech act as well as it’s stylistic features. Human body undoubtedly has been the most important cognitive status in human being’s cognition. One of the most important theoretical and practical results of recent lexicological research is the structural principle of the organization of this dictionary. The principle of systematic organization is observed in the relationship between the components of lexical-semantic association. It contains a special word, the semantic structure of which fully reflects the common semantic features of all members of this grouping. The remaining words included in this lexical-semantic system occupy a subordinate position in the hierarchical stage of the components. The principle of structure is also important in the organization of a dictionary. This paper will, to a certain degree, be helpful to the vocabulary and rhetoric teaching in English.
