This article focuses on the oral history method, which is one of the research methods of microsociology. Qualitative research is carried out primarily to study the individual aspect of social practice, i.e. real-life experiences of specific people in specific situations. From the point of view of qualitative sociology (also called humanistic, humanistic sociology) - it studies the factors associated with the fate of each person in a group. Qualitative research makes it possible to study new phenomena and processes in the context of widespread, especially abrupt, social changes. Conducting scientific analysis and conclusions on the problem, the researcher relies on available archival sources, manuscripts, and the obtained statistical data. But, these emphasized aspects are not always sufficient to consistently shed light on the subject under study. Using the oral history method, the researcher will be able to provide an additional database of the scientific effectiveness of their research. The article is devoted to these aspects.
