<p>Tilshunoslikda inson hissiyotlarining lingvistik ifodasi dolzarb tadqiqot yo‘nalishi hisoblanadi. Inson hayotining asosiy qarama-qarshi jihatlarini ifodalovchi “baxtlilik” va “baxtsizlik” konseptlari shu nuqtayi nazardan muhim ahamiyatga kasb etadi. Ushbu maqola ingliz va o‘zbek tilshunoslik an’analarida “baxtlilik” va “baxtsizlik” konseptlarini o‘rganishdagi lingvistik usullar va yondashuvlarni qiyosiy jihatdan tahlil etishga qaratilgan bo‘lib, tadqiqotning maqsadi – bir-birgia qardosh bo‘lmagan ikki turli tilga tegishli tilshunoslik maktablarida ushbu konseptlarni o‘rganishda qo‘llaniladigan metodologiyalarning o‘xshash va farq qiluvchi jihatlarini aniqlashga qaratilgan. Maqolada qiyosiy, konseptual, tizimli-uslubiy tahlil usullari qo‘llanildi. Tadqiqot davomida har ikki tilning frazeologik birliklari, metaforalari, xalq ertaklaridagi konseptual modellar va zamonaviy lingvistik yondashuvlari o‘rganildi. Ingliz tilshunosligida kognitiv va korpus lingvistikasi asosida ushbu konseptlarni chuqur o‘rganish an’analari shakllangan bo‘lsa, o‘zbek tilshunosligida lingvokulturologik va qiyosiy tadqiqotlar ko‘proq ustunlik qiladi. Shuningdek, o‘zbek tilshunosligida ushbu konseptlarni tahlil qilish jarayonida korpus lingvistikasidan foydalanish hozircha keng rivojlanmaganligi aniqlanmoqda. Maqola natijalari nafaqat tilshunoslik nazariyasi, balki tarjima amaliyoti, madaniyatlararo muloqot va pragmalingvistika sohalarida ham qo‘llanishi mumkin. Kelajakdagi tadqiqotlarda korpus pragmatikasi, gender, yosh va ijtimoiy guruhlar kesimida qiyosiy tahlil hamda xalq og‘zaki ijodidan olingan materiallar asosida yangi konseptual modellar yaratish istiqbolli yo‘nalish sifatida belgilandi.</p>
