As a result of rapid globalization and the accelerated developmentof the digital economy, the tourism sector is also undergoing fundamentaltransformations. Today, tourism is considered not only as a means of recreation andtravel, but also as one of the strategic sectors of a country’s economy. Thewidespread use of Internet technologies, mobile applications, and digital platformshas elevated the tourism service system to a new level. Nowadays, users perform allstages of the travel process online, from planning trips to selecting and bookingservices.The Republic of Uzbekistan possesses enormous potential for tourismdevelopment due to its rich historical and cultural heritage, unique architecturalmonuments, national traditions, and natural resources. Cities such as Samarkand,Bukhara, Khiva, and Tashkent are recognized not only in Central Asia but alsoworldwide as major tourist destinations. At the same time, further development anddigitalization of the tourism industry, as well as bringing it to the level ofinternational standards, have been identified as one of the priority directions of statepolicy in the country.
