The article revealed that Uzbekistan was promoted to the leading republic among the cotton-growing regions of the USSR, indicators of an increase in export volumes to foreign countries, the main focus was on increasing the quantity of cotton, the quality indicators of cotton decreased, which resulted in a violation of agreements with foreign countries.
