This article discusses the issues based on the formation of linguocultural competence of students of non-philological universities. It is known that one of the most important directions in the development of foreign language education is the use of approaches based on the development of students' communication skills, cultural, social and informational competencies in a foreign language and the development of skills and abilities to apply them in practice. It is also stated that the development of students' linguocultural knowledge is of particular importance.
