According to the results of a sociological study the problems of modern youth, problems with obtaining higher education, employment as well as life goals and social well-being of youth are considered in this article. The study of the content of value orientations that characterize the mentality and lifestyle of modern youth, the identification of social factors that influence the formation of value orientations, are of scientific interest and are of practical importance. The formation of family values among young people, the upbringing of positive attitudes towards family and marriage, the preparation of young people for marriage and the resolution of the problems of a young family is a process whose goal is to nurture the positive attitudes of young people at home, this is as important an issue as preparing for professional activities, adaptation to life in society. A comprehensive study of the young generation is of fundamental importance for adjusting the state youth policy, for creating effective and efficient state programs.
