The article analyzes the historical and ethnographic aspects of the attitude to nature in the culture of the Uzbek people. It highlights the national views, customs and values that have formed in the consciousness of the population from ancient Zoroastrian teachings to the 20th century in relation to water, land and plants. It also examines scientific research conducted during the years of independence of Uzbekistan, dedicated to the historical and scientific study of environmental issues along with other aspects of the culture of the population.
