The famine of the early 1930s is one of the discussed problems in Kazakh society. The most acute issue is the number of victims using methods of historical demography, primarily by the method of "age shifting" in the inter-census period of 1926-1939, taking into account the peculiarities of population reproduction at that time. The consequences of hunger in the regional aspect are shown.
