The article contains an analysis of the experience of linguistic research within the studying of interaction’s mechanisms between languages that have different structures as a way of forming multilingual competence by multilingual teachers of native and foreign languages. The concept of multilingual competence is relatively new in the language teaching field and is actively discussed by the academic community. However, the current language situation, the development of globalization processes, as well as the social demand of residents of multi-ethnic regions, necessitate the formation of this competence among students - future teachers of native and foreign languages, as in the modern educational space, language classes encounter speakers of various languages and cultures. The aim of the article is to introduce the experience of using the results of linguistic research in the field of comparing languages that have different structures in the practice of preparing multilingual language teachers.
