This article deals with a comprehensive study of the Karakalpak historical prose. The purpose of our articles is to study the role of folklore in the formation and origin of the Karakalpak historical novel. The relevance of this article is the lack of study of the Karakalpak historical prose, especially the novels of recent years. The Karakalpak historical novel is developing and becoming one of the favorite genres of modern writers. Literature plays an increasing role in educating people, creating an atmosphere of moral health in society, and its spiritual development. Literary science is designed to promote the activation of creative thought, the improvement of the forms of works of art. It is necessary to cover all the diversity of artistic experience in research, to pay due attention to the issues of improving forms, styles and genres. In world literary criticism, the historical novel has already become the subject of comprehensive research. However, in the Karakalpak literary criticism, the problems of historical prose still await their solution.
