As a consequence the departure of theater groups to the front during the war years, there was a shortage of personnel’s. Now it is necessary to choose much works with few characters for the plays to be staged. Poster-type works did not live long on the stage of Uzbek theaters, but in the first years of the war, the field of dramaturgy became one of the powerful weapons of militant and ideological propaganda. Therefore, in the repertoires of the republic's theaters, many patriotic plays were presented in these years. It is very difficult to assess the complex work of people working in the field of art in the republic during the war years. During the war, there were two theaters (Urganch and Khiva), several troupes and amateur circles in the region. The repertoires of theaters and troupes were replaced by the theme of war. "Layli and Majnun", "Farkhod and Shirin", "Ashiq Gharib and Shahsanam", "Tahir and Zuhra", "Arshin Mol-olan" and "Death to the Invaders", "Revenge" in these theaters along with the war-themed plays", "Jalaliddin" performances also received a worthy place. Theater activities had an incomparable spiritual and cultural role for the workers behind the front. In the republic, more than 30 concert brigades consisting of representatives of the art field gave more than 400 concerts for the soldiers and officers at the front. More concert programs were organized, 15 thousand concerts were organized in military units located in the territory of our country, and ten thousand concerts were presented in hospitals. From July 1941 to 1944, 203 new stages were performed throughout the country, 18,565 performances and a concert was performed. 6 687 303 spectators were served through these events. During the Second World War, regional theaters and troupes and Republican theaters played an important role in strengthening the spiritual and cultural outlook of the people of Khorezm region and increasing their patriotic feelings.
