In this article, the information on mourning rituals in the traditional way of life of the Uzbeks living in the territory of the Khorezm oasis was analyzed based on written sources, scientific literature and field materials. In addition, the author also considered the changes that are taking place in the mourning ceremonies in the traditional life of Uzbeks during the processes of globalization in the world today.
