The effect of sowing dates on the yield of various chickpea (Cicer arietinum L.) varieties was studied under the conditions of irrigated typical serozems in the Samarkand region. During the research, the varieties Yulduz (control), Uzbekistanskiy-32, Milyutinskiy-6, and Umid were compared across different planting periods. The research results demonstrated that yield indicators varied significantly depending on the meteorological conditions of the year, the biological characteristics of the varieties, and the sowing dates. The highest grain yield was recorded in the Umid variety: when sown between March 7–10 and March 17–20, the yield reached 33.8 and 32.4 c/ha, respectively. The Yulduz and Uzbekistanskiy-32 varieties also showed high potential, although their productivity was characterized by significant variability depending on the sowing dates. The Milyutinskiy-6 variety demonstrated relatively low yield across all studied planting periods.
