This article analyzes the large-scale reforms implemented in the healthcare system in the cities of Surkhandarya and Kashkadarya regions after the Republic of Uzbekistan gained independence, in particular, the development of medical infrastructure, strengthening of the material and technical base of medical institutions, increasing the capacity of medical personnel, and changes in the quality of services provided to the population.
