This article looks at the language and practical issues involved in translating English-language film titles into Russian. Film titles, also called filmonyms, are crucial in shaping how the audience views a movie before they see it. They provide information, aesthetic appeal, marketing, and emotional connection at the same time. With globalization and the fast growth of the international film industry, translators often have to adapt foreign film titles for specific audiences while keeping their meaning and impact intact. The study reviews the structural and stylistic traits of English-language film titles, identifies key translation strategies, and discusses cultural and commercial factors that affect translation choices. The research shows that to translate filmonyms successfully, one needs linguistic skills, cultural understanding, and imagination.
