The article examines the reflection of political events of the Ashtarkhanid-era Fergana Valley in written sources. Since the valley served as the eastern frontier of the khanate, information regarding this peripheral region is relatively scarce in the sources. This circumstance can lead to the erroneous conclusion that political processes unfolded exclusively around the central regions. However, the analysis of source data indicates that during the first half of the 17th century, the political life of the valley was highly dynamic and intense.
