This article is dedicated to the functional-stylistic characteristics of lexical units with the semantics of "mouth/og‘iz" in English and Uzbek. The study examines their usage in different styles, as well as their denotative and connotative meanings. Using contextual and contrastive analysis methods, distinctive features in scientific, literary, journalistic, and official-legal styles are identified. The results show that in each style, the lexical units for "mouth/og‘iz" carry different semantic loads, and their usage is influenced by cultural and social factors. This article enriches theoretical knowledge in the fields of linguoculturology, semantics, and pragmatics, and helps reduce the risk of interference in language learning and translation processes. Stylistic analyses provide a more detailed understanding of the role of these units in different languages and styles.
