This article explores the concept of "love" as expressed in paremiological units of the Uzbek and Russian languages. It examines examples from texts and proverbs in both languages. Love for one's homeland is an indispensable aspect of life. Uzbeks view a family built on love and affection as a "homeland within the homeland." The homeland is as sacred as an individual's faith, which is reflected in the saying, "To love the homeland is a matter of faith."
