The article considers the problem of extracting characteristic features of handwritten text images, which is an important stage in the development of personal identification systems based on the analysis of handwritten text images. Personal identification by handwritten text plays an important role in banking, mail, forensics and other areas. The paper proposes two algorithms for extracting characteristic features from handwritten objects - based on histograms of templates (A1) and based on fragment analysis (A2). The experiments were conducted using the databases of handwritten text images in English IAM and Uzbek IUHT, the results were evaluated using the main classifiers.
