Abstract: The article examines the methods of modeling facial elements of an animated character and the problem of their animation, as well as proposes approaches to its solution. Using three-dimensional modeling technologies, the creation of a 3D model of a cartoon character and its animation for reproducing facial expressions are analyzed. The processes of facial expression modeling are highlighted through visual phonemes, FLAME topology, and blendshape techniques.
