Qo‘lyozma matnini raqamlashtirish bosqichida texnik yoki inson omillari ta’sirida uning tasviri buzilishi yoki biroz shovqin qo‘shilishi mumkin. Berilgan tasvir sifatini oshirishning ko‘plab algoritmlari mavjud bo‘lishiga qaramasdan, tadqiqotchilar original tasvirdagi buzilishlarning turiga yoki shovqinlarning mavjudligiga bog‘liq holda samarali algoritmni tanlash jarayonini avtomatlashtirish imkonini beruvchi vositalarga ega emaslar. Bu maqolada tasvir sifatini baholashning etalonsiz metodlarga asoslangan yondoshuvi keltirilgan.
