This article investigates the symmetrical and asymmetrical study of lexical units denoting the sense of smell in English and Uzbek languages. The paper explores lexical items related to the sense of smell in both languages and analyzes their cultural, linguistic, and psycholinguistic aspects. The similarities and differences between English and Uzbek terms and phrases related to olfactory perception are studied, helping to understand semantic variations in the linguistic systems of both languages. This research highlights both the common and distinctive features in the lexical structures of these languages.
