Etnik madaniyat muayyan xalqning qadriyatlari, urf-odatlari, an’analari va estetik tajribasini o‘z ichiga olgan, uzluksiz taraqqiyot jarayonida shakllangan fenomendir. U milliy-madaniy identiklikni belgilaydi, madaniy resurslarni saqlaydi va jamiyatning ma’naviy barqarorligi uchun asosiy bo‘lgan shakllarni taqdim etadi. Ilmiy-nazariy konsepsiyalar esa etnik madaniyatni turli jihatdan tahlil qilish imkonini beradi, uning tarixi, folklori, san’ati va ijtimoiy roli bilan bog‘liq masalalarni ochib beradi. Shu bois, ushbu maqolada o‘zbek etnomadaniyati turli yondashuvlar (tarixiy-arxeologik, folkloristik, sotsiolingvistik, badiiy-estetik, ijtimoiy-pedagogik va h.k.) orqali tahlil etilgan.
