This article presents information about the participation of Uzbek athletes in sports events at the level of the former Soviet Union during the Soviet era. In the second half of the last century, Uzbek athletes actively participated in competitions within the framework of the former Union. In the first years, the results were unsatisfactory for various reasons, but overall the indicators improved. These results allowed Uzbek athletes to participate in world-class tournaments as part of various teams of the former Soviet Union.
