The article presents the results of a two-year experiment aimed at evaluating the effectiveness of 6-benzylaminopurine in reducing the negative effects of soil salinity on winter wheat and winter barley plants. Foliar treatment with 6-benzylaminopurine was applied to winter wheat and winter barley grown on irrigated lands of Karakalpakstan. According to the results of the 2023–2024 experiment, the use of this compound improved spike weight and the average grain weight per spike in the studied crops. The field experiment conducted in 2024–2025 showed that treatment of winter wheat and winter barley with phytohormones enhanced both total and productive tillering, which was reflected in increased yields of the studied crops: 14% for winter wheat and 9% for winter barley.
