The relevance of this study stems from the fact that loneliness is one of the most prevalent phenomena in modern society. The study aimed to explore people's perceptions of loneliness, examining its characteristics through targeted research. To achieve this, a specific research methodology was selected, and an empirical study was conducted to analyze perceptions of loneliness among individuals living alone and those experiencing loneliness within a family setting. The method of content analysis and its key features were utilized. Through the analysis of essays written by men and women, it was discovered that while there were some differences in the descriptions of loneliness, the responses from both groups were largely similar. Furthermore, it was observed that women generally hold a more positive attitude toward loneliness compared to men. Additionally, attitudes toward loneliness varied slightly across different age groups.
