This article reveals the theoretical foundations of forming prognostic competence in future teachers. This competence occupies an important place in the professional training of educators, playing a key role in increasing the effectiveness of the educational process, the ability to anticipate the needs of learners, and adapt to the changing educational environment. The article analyzes the content, structure, and constituent components of prognostic competence (knowledge, activity-related, and cognitive aspects) based on scientific sources.
