This article describes the importance of free economic zones in the moderneconomy, proving that they are an important tool in creating and improving a stable economy,which is becoming a unique economy for the XXI - century. In particular, it is emphasized thatfree economic zones play a significant role in achieving sustainable development in a particularregion. Governments should create free economic zones for the sustainable development of thenational economy, including a specific region, in such a way that they serve to increase the levelof stability of the country or region.
