the article deals with the formation of historical consciousness and historical memory on the basis of a comprehensive theoretical understanding of the past, at the level of determining the principles of historical development, as well as the social functions of historical consciousness. It also reveals the integral connection of historical consciousness with the forms of social consciousness, the processes of formation of national historical memory, the role and place of the principles of historical development in the life of society on the basis of a comprehensive theoretical understanding of historical memory.
