This article discusses the concepts of remuneration and wages, the grounds and procedure for deductions from wages, as well as restrictions imposed on deductions. The norms of national legislation are analyzed and a comparative analysis is carried out with the legislation of foreign countries. The rights and obligations of the parties to an employment contract regarding deductions from wages are considered. A legal assessment of issues regarding deductions from wages that require the employee’s consent and those for which consent is not required is provided.
