In this article, the author considers the issues of socio-psychological, material, living, and other conditions for serving a sentence of imprisonment by a specific category of convicts - female minors from criminological and legal positions. In particular, it is noted that the socio-psychological characteristics of juvenile women sentenced to deprivation of liberty testify to their inherent socio-psychological maladjustment and impulsiveness of their behavior. At the same time, it was found that there are two groups of convicted females with aggressive behavior. In particular, convicts with a demonstrative type of motivation for aggressive behavior with the presence of asocial experience of interaction associated with high self-esteem, the second group includes convicts with an episodic (situational) type of motivation for aggressive behavior mediated by low self-esteem. In addition, the article examines certain problematic issues in the field of material and domestic support for the conditions of serving sentences in penitentiary institutions, especially when it comes to young mothers who do not have proper support from their relatives. Based on the results of the study, the author presents evidence-based recommendations and proposals regarding the improvement of the conditions for serving sentences in the form of deprivation of liberty by juvenile female convicts.
