STRENGTH ASSESSMENT OF THE CENTRAL SPRING SUSPENSION OF PASSENGER CAR BOGIES: STRENGTH ASSESSMENT OF THE CENTRAL SPRING SUSPENSION OF PASSENGER CAR BOGIES
The article presents an assessment of the strength and stiffness characteristics of the central spring suspension of passenger car bogies for the 1520 mm gauge. Standard calculations of the central suspension springs are performed taking into account static and dynamic loads. Deflections, vertical and horizontal stiffness, as well as stresses in the main suspension elements are determined. It is established that the obtained stress and deformation values do not exceed the permissible limits and comply with the requirements of the applicable regulatory documentation, which confirms the operability and reliability of the design under operating conditions.
