This article discusses methods for determining the specific wing load of a UAV in flight. Two main methods are presented: the first is calculating the specific load during landing; the second is determining the specific load at cruising speed. The article also presents calculations for selecting engines, floats and batteries for vertical and horizontal flights. The selected components will improve the energy efficiency of the UAV, minimize weight and increase flight range. This development is aimed at optimizing the UAV design and improving their aerodynamic characteristics, which is important for increasing flight efficiency.
