Annotatsiya

The article examines the influence of the specific surface area of river sand obtained from the Kuilyuk quarry on the structure formation of non-autoclaved aerated concrete. The introduction of alternative fillers such as river sand addresses the shortage of quartz sand, which is traditionally used as a silica component in construction. The authors provide results from laboratory tests aimed at determining the optimal specific surface area of sand that enhances the physical and mechanical properties of aerated concrete. Experiments were conducted by grinding the sand to different specific surface levels (1250, 2350, and 3700 cm²/g) to investigate their effect on compressive strength. The optimal result was achieved with a specific surface area of 2350 cm²/g, confirmed through graphical dependencies and microstructural analysis of the samples. Particular attention is given to  the microstructure of non-autoclaved aerated concrete studied using a scanning electron microscope. The analysis focused on changes in the cement matrix structure with the addition of microsilica and fly ash, revealing their positive impact on the hydraulic activity of the binder system. The results show that increasing the specific surface area of sand contributes to a higher number of active centers and improved particle bonding, enhancing the density and homogeneity of the cement matrix. The study also highlights the impact of the water-cement ratio, which increases with a higher specific surface area and may adversely affect strength characteristics if values are too high. In summary, this article contributes to the advancement of non autoclaved aerated concrete production technology, offering recommendations on the selection and preparation of silica components to improve the strength characteristics of the final product. The findings are valuable for the design and manufacture of building materials suited for various climatic conditions.
