The article presents a subject-specific methodological system aimed at developing students' creative competence in the process of teachingorganic chemistry in secondary schools, developed on the basis of a theoretical-methodological and design-research approach. The purposeof the study is to mobilize knowledge of the structure, properties, reactions and applications of organic matter in new situations, re-articulatethe problem, create several scientifically based ideas or hypotheses, evaluate them according to the criteria of evidence, safety and practicalpurpose.
