The COVID-19 pandemic has caused an increase in the number of cases and a high mortality rate around the world. The new coronavirus infection COVID-19 pandemic has spread to more than 180 countries around the world. COVID-19 is caused by a new strain of coronavirus called SARS-CoV2, which not only damages lung tissue, but also increases the risk of multiple organ failure, including damage to the cardiovascular system. As of May 19, 2020, there are 4.8 million people living in the world. More than 318 thousand people have been diagnosed with COVID-19, of which more than 318 thousand people have died from its complications, 1.5 million. More than 100 thousand people have recovered. As of November 19, 2022, 244,964 people were infected with COVID-19 in Uzbekistan, of which 1,637 patients died from its complications. COVID-19 is a systemic disease that affects the functions of the immune system, primarily the lungs, followed by the heart, kidneys and intestines. In response to SARS-CoV-2, a hyperergic immune reaction in the patient’s body causes a strong systemic inflammatory syndrome, severe changes in the alveolar tissue of the lungs and other organs. From experience, research and literature review conducted by world scientists, we know that inflammation is an important sign of the development of atherosclerosis, which leads to worsening of the disease and impaired vascular function, as well as subsequent thrombus formation.
