Annotatsiya

The article studies the formation of plant density in chickpea varieties under different irrigation methods and irrigation regimes. The study examined the effects of furrow, drip and sprinkler irrigation, as well as irrigation regimes of 65–70–60%, 70–75–65% and 75–80–70% of field capacity. The results showed that plant density of the Zumrad and Malhotra chickpea varieties varied depending on the irrigation method and soil moisture regime. The highest plant density was recorded under drip irrigation with an irrigation regime of 75–80–70% of field capacity in the Malhotra variety, reaching 282.7 plants/m² at the beginning of the growing period and 275.3 plants/m² at the end. The obtained results demonstrate the importance of selecting an appropriate irrigation method and soil moisture regime for chickpea cultivation.
