Realization and pragmatic features of the concept “Adolat” (justice) in english and uzbek literary and journalistic discourse

Annotatsiya

This article studies the realization of the concept “adolat” (justice) in English and Uzbek discourse. The material includes literary texts and journalistic publications in both languages. The study focuses on the pragmatic functions of the concept in these two types of discourse. In literary discourse, justice is realized through characters, plot conflicts and authorial evaluation. In journalistic discourse, it appears in headlines, slogans, appeals and political statements. The analysis reveals common and specific features of the concept in the two linguocultures. English discourse links justice mainly with law, rights and equality. Uzbek discourse connects adolat with morality, conscience and the duty of a just ruler. The results show that the concept performs evaluative, persuasive and appellative functions.
