Atrial fibrillation is rare in the general population and is associated with a significant reduction in quality of life and increased cardiovascular morbidity and mortality. Atrial fibrillation and coronary heart disease can occur together: 17-47% of patients with atrial fibrillation also have coronary heart disease, and 1-5% of patients with coronary heart disease also have atrial fibrillation. Arrhythmia against the background of a myocardial infarction of parietal localization appears later (2-3 days), more often against the background of heart failure, attacks are more stable, are accompanied by deterioration of hemodynamic parameters and require cardioversion. This indicates a more severe course of compartmental fibrillation in patients with myocardial infarction localized on the anterior wall.
