The article analyzes the essence and structural components of social reproduction as a socio-philosophical category and the role of physical culture in this process. The relevance of the topic is determined by the absence of a unified interpretation of the concept and by the insufficient assessment of physical culture as a factor in reproducing human potential. The study relies on analysis and synthesis of sources, comparative-historical and systemic-structural methods. It is shown that physical culture supports the reproduction of labour potential, indirectly ensures demographic reproduction and shapes general culture.
